2005 Web Dork Awards
Look out Grammy’s because the 24 Hour Rapid Response Computer Support Task Force or Geek Squad is already handing out awards. In a press release today the GS announced that they had the results of their Civilian’s Choice Award, which had the online community vote on the best of 5 video clips showing dorks being dorks. I won’t even mention them because everyone has seen them on-line and TV a bazillion times. The fact that this warranted a press release is so absurd, not to mention a webcast announcing the winner. Who cares about this other than Best Buy employees? They probably had to take a moment out of their day when the winner was announced to high five each other and determine who won the over/under on the Numa Numa guy. Just stick to computer support and driving around those faux-cop VW’s, which are not too popular with the California Highway Patrol.
