Curling Fever “Sweeps” America
It seems that America has a new winter pastime and that is the sport of curling. Spurred on by the TV coverage during the 2006 Winter Olympics, the Official USA Curling website, crashed last week with 12.9 million hits of which over 600,000 were unique visitors. Just as popular is the women’s team weblog. Not bad for a 500 year old sport. If this interest continues we might see Monday Night Curling and video games like EA Sports Curling 2007!
