Pluto still a planet say lawmakers
Because our nation’s legislative bodies don’t have a enough to do, it’s good to see that they are tackling such hard-hitting issues as deciding what is and what is not a planet.
This past week, the New Mexico state legislature defied the International Astronomical Union and passed a resolution that declares Pluto should be designated a planet when it “passes overhead through New Mexico’s excellent night skies.” Well, I’m glad we have that all sorted out.
So let me get this straight, we still have people living in poverty, our schools can’t teach basic skills, and we still live in a world wracked by war and terrorism, but the good legislators of New Mexico found time in their busy schedule to resolve this Pluto issue once and for all?
Maybe the robot uprising can’t some soon enough.
