Watch your back, ASIMO
In the world of robots that walk on two legs and perform tricks like trained monkeys, no one holds a candle to ASIMO. But that may be coming to an end soon. French robotics company Aldebaran has posted a video on their site showing their Nao taking its first wobbly steps. Yeah, it’s not quite running around in circles like a certain child-sized robot from Japan, but soon enough we’re sure this little guy will be prancing around town all “Oui, oui” and “Non, non” and such.
I sure hope the engineers at Aldebaran are working overtime on this, because I really want to see a throwdown between Nao and ASIMO. That would be a bot battle worth paying for.
