Rally of robots (Daily Bulletin)

The robot propagandists can’t start ‘em too young:

POMONA - Students of all ages participated in Cal Poly Pomona’s Robotics Rally, a program targeting elementary-school children, inspiring them to enjoy science and technology lessons at high school and college levels. Photo Gallery: Cal Poly Pomona Robot Rally

For about four months, 10 Cal Poly students and three professors worked with 70 fourth- and fifth-graders studying robotics.

On Tuesday, the students from Kingsley Elementary School in Pomona and Collegewood Elementary School in Walnut were invited to Cal Poly to see their Lego robots in action.

They used their mechanical creations in a series of competitions, including ring challenges and races.
