Armadillo Aerospace Lunar Lander Test
John Carmack strikes again. Everyone’s favorite billionaire video game designer and amateur rocket scientist had a successful test flight over the weekend when the lunar lander test vehicle built by Armadillo Aerospace took off and landed safetly a couple times. Very cool footage here of the little machine blasting off the pad, hovering for about 90 seconds, and then landing again. Armadillo is going after the $1 million Lunar Lander Challenge.
