Stupid lazy robots
One of the things we fear most about robots is that they will become stronger, faster, and smarter than us lowly bags of meat and water. But what if robots actually become lazier than us? Researchers at Stanford have concluded that for humans to interact successfully with mechanical begins, the droids need to be made lazy. The scientists studied the way real people move and translated those lazy movements to the computer to show how robots could be programmed to appear more human-like.
Sounds good to me. Make those shifty robots as lazy as possible. Heck, make them into big giant mechanical stoners and we won’t have to worry about the robot uprising coming any time soon.
