Blue Ribbon Robot?
When I think of the state fair, the things that come to mind are corn dogs, carnival rides and tractor pulls, not robots. Can a robot appreciate the sweet delicacy of cotton candy, the stifling heat and humidity or the smell of manure coming from the animal barns? I think not. But in Kansas they have other ideas.
Apparently the Kansas State Fair has a cybertronic host named Oscar that roams the fair grounds greeting people and making sure that everyone is having a good time. I for one would drop my funnel cake and hide behind a giant pumpkin if I saw this thing coming at me.
So what’s next? Robotic judges for the quilting contest? Cyborg carnies? “Step right up, bleep. Everyone’s a winner, bloop, beep.” If the great American state fair isn’t immune from the robot uprising, there’s no hope for any of us.
