Time Warner Cable Hates Christmas

We can seem pretty harsh around here with all the fear mongering and bashing on the robot propaganda, but deep down we’re really just a bunch of softies. And we really like Christmas. Seriously, it’s the best holiday on the calender.

So tonight I’m feeling in a festive mood and decide to see what kind of holiday programming Time Warner Cable has to offer me. They have a vast array of on-demand video channels, everything from action movies to comedy to video nasties. Everything except Christmas movies.

What kind of Satan worshipers are running this operation that they don’t have holiday classics on demand? No Miracle on 34th Street, no Scrooge (the 1951 version with Alastair Sim, of course), no nuttin’ for Christmas. Time Warner seriously expects me to pay $1.99 to watch Joe vs. the Volcano but they don’t even offer newer holiday classics such as Scrooged or Love Actually? You have got to be kidding me.

I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised. It’s not like the cable TV industry has ever been very responsive to its customers, or even tried very hard to make people happy. They don’t have to because they have a virtual monopoly in nearly every market they serve.

I’m starting to think maybe Time Warner Cable is run by heartless, Christmas-hating robots.
