Mobile Suit Carpenter

In their never-ending quest to augment the human form with metal and hydraulics, researchers in Japan have developed a powered exoskeleton designed to help carpenters hang drywall. The wearable device provides lifting power and strength to assist in the arduous task of putting up ceiling panels and other heavy-lifting activities.

Having done some drywall work in the past, all I can say, “Where was this when I needed it?” Seriously, you don’t know the meaning of tired until you’ve spent 10 hours hanging drywall on the ceiling.

Of course the best thing about this powered suit is you’ll be ready to defend yourself Ripley-style if the aliens come calling.
