Lunar Eclipse Video Pick: Space 1999
For your lunar eclipse viewing pleasure, here’s a clip of the opening sequence to the 1970s TV series Space 1999. It was an incredibly cheesy sci-fi show from the mind of Gary Anderson (Thunderbirds) that supposed the moon has been blasted from its orbit by a nuclear disaster. For it’s time, though, the special effects were pretty decent, and who doesn’t like watching Martin Landau overact for an hour?
